An Evening of Great American Music

Broadway at the turn of the last century was a place for the people, full of hope. Oscar Hammerstein, born in Germany came to the US at 23 and made his fortune in the tobacco industry. He was the founder of a family who achieved fame in the theater. His grandson Oscar Hammerstein II became a well known lyricist and his protege would be Stephen Sondheim. Theater wasthe place of dreams and Grandaddy Hammerstein said...'If you don't have a dream, how are you going to have a dream come true?"  I dared to dream....I packed my suitcase, and headed east to the big Apple! 

 
 

Jeralyn Glass is a celebrated soprano on the opera and concert stages of the world. Praised as an artist with "Glamour and Style" by Opera Magazine, London, she is known in Europe as a “Mozart singer of the highest caliber”. Ms. Glass began her career in New York on Broadway in the 25th anniversary revival of My Fair Lady with Rex Harrison. The Golden Years of Broadway celebrates the genius of our unique and utterly American musical history through song and story.
